Early Years
On December 6, 1952, Craig Alexander Newmark become born in Morristown, New Jersey. Craig grew up in a Jewish own family and loved comic books and science fiction as a child.
At the age of thirteen, tragedy passed off the circle of relatives while Newmark’s father died. After that, he moved to Jacob Ford Village with his mother and younger brother. Craig, a self-described nerd in high school, was a member of the honor society, sang in the chorus, co-captained the debate team, and did exceptionally well in physics.
Following high school graduation, Newmark enrolled at Case Western Reserve University. He eventually earned a Bachelor of Science in computing and information sciences after studying computer science.

Craig secured employment with IBM as a systems engineer and programmer following his graduation from Case Western Reserve University.

Newmark began trying out various strategies to establish one of the first online communities after Schwab brought Craigslist to the internet. Craigslist began as an email list, and Newmark would notify his pals about activities happening in San Francisco.
Craig soon discovered that he was adding a lot more information to the emails as the number of recipients grew.
Relationships
Newmark wed Eileen Whelpley in 2012. They alternate between New York City and San Francisco.
