After more than two decades of marriage, Lyle Menendez’s wife has declared their separation.
Rebecca Sneed And Lyle Menendez’s decision regarding seperation
Lyle Menendez’s second wife, Rebecca Sneed, announced the news on a Facebook page she manages that bears his name. Since 2003, Menendez and Sneed have been wed. The two had been acquainted for ten years, as per an NBC News article at the time.
The announcement of the separation was made only days before Lyle and his brother Erik, who filed a motion for resentencing, are scheduled to appear virtually in court.
Lyle Menendez said in a 2017 interview with PEOPLE about his marriage that thier interaction tends to be very free of distractions and they probably have more intimate conversations than most married spouses do, who are distracted by life’s events.
“We make an effort to speak on the phone at least once a day, if not more. My marriage is incredibly stable and involved, which keeps me going and provides me a lot of happiness and peace. It serves as a balance to this place’s erratic and often stressful atmosphere.
Sneed said she will keep his fans informed on the Facebook page, but she did not explain when she and Lyle Menendez split up.
